"Thank you very much for the package. I just got it this evening when I came on my shift and it was great. I really appreciated all te work that y'all must have done to get it together and send it. I know it means a lot to people in the military over here knowing they have people back in the states who care to send letters and packages and things like that. Thanks again for what y'all do and I hope y'all are having a great time in school."
" Thank you all for the care packages that y'all sent this deployment. Sorry that I am just now writing you all. The packages were awesome and I shared most of it with my fellow Soldiers and NCO's. I will be redeploying here in the next month or so. So if you are sending another package, please do it in the next few days or it wont make it here in time. If you do, I do like healthy snacks and workout supplements. But don't go out of your way just to send one off to me if you weren't planning on it. I completely understand and don't want y'all to waste time and money on me when you could be sending another Soldier a package that just got out here recently. Thanks again and feel free to keep in touch if y'all want."
"I just wanted to email you and say thank you for your package. Your package was my first since I arrived in Afghan. I will share your package with all my Marines. Thank you so much and I am very grateful."
