Letters From Our Soldiers

B. Bowser

“I am B. Bowser on the USNS Spearhead (JHSV-1). I wanted to thank you for the care package. The rest of the crew and myself are very grateful there are organizations and people such as yourselves who support the Soldiers and Sailors serving abroad. After we had received the packages it was like a school cafeteria at lunch, trading this for that. A little bit about me. I am 20 years old from Garrett County, Maryland. I have been in almost three years and am an Intelligence Specialist who focuses on operational and Imagery Intelligence. The USNS Spearhead is my second Deployment, my first being on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Once again I would like to thank you. your packages and your kindness are greatly appreciated! God Bless you all.”

“I got a care package from you guys! Thanks for thinking of us during the holidays. It’s nice to feel appreciated when you’re so far from your family. I think what you’re doing is super sweet! Y’all are great. You can send me Gatorade whenever you want. It’s actually warmer here than it is in the states. there’s all that crazy weather going on! I like cool blue Gatorade if you can find it. Thanks!”

A. Palmerton

“I can’t tell yo much, but I can tell you that it would be safe to bless another unit with your kindness. Thank you so very much again for everything you have done for my fellow brothers and sisters, and myself to make our time away from our home and loved ones more pleasant. You and your organization are true patriots. God Bless”

K. Fisher

“Thank you very much for the package. I just got it this evening when I came on my shift and it was great. I really appreciated all the work that y’all must have done to get it together and send it. I know it means a lot to people in the military over here knowing they have people back in the states who care to send letters and packages and things like that. Thanks again for what y’all do and I hope y’all are having a great time in school.”

D. Brice

” Thank you all for the care packages that y’all sent this deployment. Sorry that I am just now writing to you all. The packages were awesome and I shared most of it with my fellow Soldiers and NCO’s. I will be redeploying here in the next month or so. So if you are sending another package, please do it in the next few days or it won’t make it here in time. If you do, I do like healthy snacks and workout supplements. But don’t go out of your way just to send one-off to me if you weren’t planning on it. I completely understand and don’t want y’all to waste time and money on me when you could be sending another Soldier a package that just got out here recently. Thanks again and feel free to keep in touch if y’all want.”
